LAMPASAS – John “J.C.” Adams, 80, died Friday, July 31, 1998, in a local hospital.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with burial in Payne Gap Cemetery in Mills County. Arrangements are by Sheppard Memorial Funeral Home. He was born April 27, 1918, in Moline. An Air Force veteran, he was a lumber salesman and a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Helois Adams of Lampasas; a son, Gerald Adams of Austin; a sister. Mildred Butts of Lampasas; two brothers, Frank Adams of Moline and Otis Adams of Saginaw; and two grandchildren.
