Bio from The Four F’s of Moline, Texas:

DUNCAN, Thomas Ell (June 17, 1896-October 1, 1975) was born on the Dodson place west of the Baugh Ranch. He married Jesse Hunt Taylor of Payne Gap. Ell was a farmer and rancher. He served as school trustee at Payne Gap.

Ell and Jesse were never citizens of Moline Community, but as were many other Payne Gap people, they were so closely associated with Moline Community, after they lost their school, that we adopted them into our midst.

Jesse was first married to William (Will) Taylor. This couple had one daughter, Wilma Opal. Mr. Taylor died and Jesse and Ell married. To this union were born Troy Elvis, Dorothy Earlene and Richard Doyle.

Wilma Opal (1916-1977) married Frank Prachyl of Dallas. They had two children, Ronnie Lee and Linda. Opal was here taking care of her mother and was tragically killed in a car wreck between Payne Gap and Goldthwaite. She is buried in the Payne Gap Cemetery. Opal was a graduate of Moline High School. She attended Moline School from the eighth grade through the eleventh grade.

Troy Elvis Duncan married Mildred Ann Kirby of Lometa.

They have three children: Troy Lynn of Anchorage, Alaska who has two children, Vicki McLean of Killeen, Texas, and Gerald Keith of Lometa who has a son, Troy Lance. Troy Elvis is a rancher and deals extensively in livestock sales. He is also a gas utility supply salesman for the Lometa territory.

Dorothy Earlene married Jim Elliot. They have two children, Tom E. and Renay. Jim was a brick salesman from the state of Missouri when they married. His work has necessitated many moves during their married life and now he is back in his native state of Missouri (1980).

Richard Doyle married Norma Hammond. They live in Andrews, Texas (1980) with their three children: Kay D., Jana, and Richard.

Troy Elvis was the only child of Ell’s and Jesse’s that never attended Moline school.
