Payne Gap Cemetery files from the early 1970s report, “small child’s or infant’s grave with old illegible funeral home marker. Mrs. El Duncan thinks that the child buried here was a Green.” As of August 18, 2026, this grave is unmarked. According to the report, the grave would have been south of Carl Hughes‘s grave.

On August 26, 2026, Sam Duncan found a rusty base of a temporary cemetery marker near Carl Hughes’ grave; this base is thought to belong to the Green child. Noted also that Dealia Green‘s grave, is a distance away, yet it remains a possibility that the Green child belonged to her.
