Obituary published in The San Saba News and Star, September 06, 1973, page 2:

The father and brother of two San Saba County residents died Friday, August 30, in Moline. Services were held for Charley Leroy Cook, 80, in Lampasas, Saturday, September 1, with arrangements cared for by the Adkins Funeral Home.

Interment was in Payne Gap Cemetery.

Cook was born in Kempner, August 21, 1893 and was married to Agnes Estell Campbell, August 12, 1912 at Star. He was a Presbytertan, Conducting the services was Rev. Melvin L. Willliams.

Survivors, Including his wife, are two daughters; Mrs. Opal Walton of Austin and Mrs. Nellie Foster of Houston; one son, Arthur Cook of Richland Springs; two brothers: Thomas Cook of San Saba and J. E. (Cotton) Cook of Lometa; eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
