Jacklyn Ann Neely Traylor Duncan died April 26, 2023 at the age of 85, dementia robbing her of memory and eventually life.
Born in Texarkana, Texas on Aug. 28, 1937 to Sarah Neely and Charles C. Neely, she spent the majority of her life in Texas.
Outgoing and funloving, she was an accomplished tap dancer and owned her own dance studio in addition to other later careers as a medical bookkeeper and realtor.
She was a member of Lometa United Methodist Church and Lometa L-M Garden Club. More than anything else, her life as Troy Duncan’s wife brought her the greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by her husbands John Henry Traylor and Troy Elvis Duncan [whom she married on October 8, 1989], as well as her siblings Tommy Neely and his wife Pat, Reba Neely Goll and her husband Walter, Nancy Neely Barth, and brother-in-law Bo Dossey; stepson Lynn Duncan; and step-grandchildren Tracey Duncan and Jeffery Duncan.
She is survived by her siblings Betty Neely Dossey, and Jane Neely Dickson and her husband Marshall, and brother-in- law Denny Barth; her children Tess Violette Traylor, Michelle Traylor Lightfoot, and John Charles Traylor and his wife Alicia; stepchildren Keith Duncan and his wife Kathy, and Vicki McLean and her husband Jimmy; her grandchildren Julia Jane Walls, Sara Elisabeth Walls, Jack Henry Walls, Martha Michaela Walls, Jason Wingert, Jennifer Lightfoot Mays, Christopher Alcorn, Bryan Alcorn, Angela Traylor and Isabella Traylor; and her stepgrandchildren Chad McLean, Lance Duncan and Dusty Duncan.
Her cremains will be laid to rest next to Troy Duncan in a private ceremony at Payne Gap Cemetery.
