Dorothy “Dottie” Elliott of Goldthwaite, Texas died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Aubrey, Texas. She was 76 years of age. She was born May 22, 1930 in Mills County, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Ell and Jessie (Hunt) Duncan.
She married James “Jim” Edward Elliott on December 21, 1956 at Dallas, Texas. She had made her home in Dallas, Texas, until moving to Mills County, Texas in 1996. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Tom Elliott; and a sister, Opal Prachyl.
Survivors are a daughter, Renay Watt of Aubrey, Texas; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Kathleen Elliott and Joshua and Derek Amos; and two brothers, Doyle Duncan of Andrews, Texas and Troy Duncan of Lometa, Texas.
The funeral was Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel in Goldthwaite, Texas. Doug Carpenter officiated at the final rites. Interment was in the Payne Gap Cemetery, Mills County, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Keith Duncan, Richard Duncan, Ron Prachyl, Joshua Amos, Derek Amos, Chris Albritton, and Don Demoss, Jr. Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home, Goldthwaite, Texas, in charge of arrangements.
