A.R. was born to Robert Wadkins Wadsworth McGehee (1862-1939) and Lula Elizabeth “Eve” Ammann (1867-1957) on January 28, 1903, in Concrete, DeWitt County, Texas. He married Mary Louise Midgett on April 6, 1937, in Yokum, Texas. The couple moved to Lometa from Sweet Home in 1958. They had five children: John Raphael MGehee, Roger Neil McGehee, Wilma Lou Holbrook, Opal Virginia Jacobs, and Marjorie Nell Kleiber. A.R. was a farmer and rancher in rural Lometa and was living there at the time of his death. He Died in the San Saba Hospital, San Saba, Texas.
