Michael was born to Cornelius W. (William) Ford (1857-1926) and his wife, Texana [Whitley] Ford (1861-1946). When the couple married in 1880, they lived in Bosque County, Texas, but by the time of the 1900 census, they had moved to the Payne Gap area. Both Michael and his sister Verie were likely born in Payne Gap. Michael lived a year and a half, but Verie probably died at birth. By the 1910 census, the family had left Payne Gap and were living in Big Spring, Texas, where both Cornelius and Texana passed. The couple had a total of eleven children.
The headstones of both Michael and her sister, Verie, were conserved by Sam Duncan and Jeffrey Lee on November 24, 2024. See attached photographs.
