Payne Gap Schoolhouse and Cemetery Logo

Jeffrey and I have been working on some logo ideas for the Payne Gap Schoolhouse and Cemetery compound, and I think we have arrived at a design that distills the essence of the property. In the latest design, we use the schoolhouse building and the cemetery’s arched entrance (or is it a tombstone? ;-)) as the main motifs. An earlier iteration below references chalkboard practice lettering.

Huge thanks to Pam Miles for the genius idea of incorporating the cemetery’s arched entrance gate. And also to the unmatched Lorraine Bond for leading us in good directions.
